The learning minds in India are now being provided with facilities like digital classrooms, field visits, and gamified’ learning to stay abreast with the changing requirements for an individual’s overall growth and development. Bilakhia Group supports this revolution in the education system through its MAA foundation, an NGO founded by the Bilakhia Family. The foundation’s hardworking team understands students’ hurdles and is consistently working on creating holistic education facilities.
The foundation has a clear vision to enhance the education system of Valsad district in Gujarat to the extent that it becomes India’s role model in the education sector by the end of 2030. The Bilakhia group has already initiated several empowering services and is continuously working towards the all-round development of students. Let’s look at the projects of MAA foundation that are augmenting the education system in India.
Disha
The Disha project is established to make students in rural areas aware of the opportunities in the global economy. Using a software-driven psychometric assessment, Disha measures a student’s aptitude in six areas, personality type, and significant interests. The process is followed by counselling. Along with quality education, skills are essential to sustain today’s competition and expectations in the real world. Disha guides students to discover their abilities and interests.
Science and Maths On Wheels
The Science and Maths on Wheels initiative is about experimenting with new learning methods so that students are not afraid to integrate technology into education. This project gives rural area students exposure to new learning methods, such as observing science models in exhibitions with information and hands-on activities. Under this initiative, the foundation runs a mobile van in different cities to introduce students to the fascinating side of math and science.
Vikas
The change in the education system should be initiated by fixing assessment-based learning, and this project works precisely on this critical topic. The foundation organizes a personality development camp for students from 9th to 12th for 4 to 6 days which could be residential or non-residential. The essential skills are not yet recognized as an integral part of the educational syllabus. Maa Foundation has taken a step through ‘Vikas’ to inculcate this change.
Prabodhan
Under academic priorities, students cannot explore real-time opportunities. They must be aware of the millions of opportunities to follow their passion. At present, the marks-oriented system is restricting students from thinking outside of the box. Project Prabodhan by MAA foundation is working to give students a brief industry exposure through visits and teach them about India’s future projects and requirements apart from the academic syllabus.
Unnati
The foundation is tirelessly working to reform the education system, and the ‘Unnati’ project focuses on empowering dropout students. Uneducated youth vastly suffer from unemployment, and this project helps them work on professional skills that are in demand across industries. Through training of 20-60 days and mock interviews, students are prepared for work in real-time industries.
These were some prominent projects by the MAA Foundation, among others. The Bilakhia Group provides students with better learning resources. It facilitates teachers with better teaching programs to enhance the quality of education in India.
